Here's what I worked on this week. 90 Skaven Clanrats, 10 giant rats, 2 packmasters and 2 Warpfire Throwers. Start to finish in 4 days... my eyes are a little glazed over still lol so I am taking today off.
Sorry for the bad pictures, they were taken at a game store and I didn't have a light setup. There's a closeup shot of a single clanrat a couple posts back.
I Like the look of these. Do you mind sharing how you went about painting them please? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Dave, sorry it took me so long to reply. I didn't see your question until just now.
ReplyDeleteHere's a quick description:
Black primer, scorched brown drybrush (entire model), bestial brown drybrush. Wood was drybrushed further with vomit brown. Cloth areas basecoated with 50/50 mechrite red/blood red, vermin brown, or codex grey. Metal areas basecoated with boltgun metal. Entire model washed with devlan mud. When that was dry, the cloth areas were highlighted with blood red, vermin brown, and codex grey. Metal areas were highlighted with mithril silver on the edges, and some scratches added on the blades.
Then the skin was painted with tallarn flesh, followed by an ogryn flesh wash. Straps were painted black. Claws were picked out with bleached bone. Eyes were dotted with blood red.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
